Sandia National Laboratories began as Z Division of the Manhattan Project’s Los Alamos site in July of 1945. It rapidly grew, becoming Sandia Laboratory, a branch of Los Alamos in 1948 and, a year later, was completely separated from Los Alamos and placed under management of Sandia Corporation, a Western Electric subsidiary. This year marks Sandia's 75th Anniversary.

As part of a yearslong celebration, we will honor this milestone anniversary at the Sandia 75th Anniversary Gala in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The gala will officially launch a new exhibit at the National Museum of Nuclear Science & History on October 25, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Join us for dinner, history talks and a tour of the new exhibit. The dress code for this event is business formal.
